I finished this course just before Christmas. Due to health reasons, I needed to find another job, (previously I had my own cleaning business), and being able to have a job that I can work from home would be perfect. I have always had an interest in the medical field, and this would be perfect. I have a special interest in medicine and come from a Greek background. Therefore I can understand how medical terminology is structured. This is a great course, very clear and easy to manage. I am doing the online version and I love the flexibility it allows which in itself is similar to how I will get to work as an MTE when I graduate. When I started with the course, it was on career step. But I transitioned to Australian course and that was the best thing that happened. I am in the early stages of my training with Talentmed, but I am so impressed with the content and the presentation. I have completed a previous Diploma via online learning and have found Talentmed's programme so much easier and far more supportive than that I experienced before. Having done uni classes online and struggled badly, I spent a lot of time wondering if I had made the right decision. I am now nearly finished the course and cannot wait to start working. The freedom to study when and where it suited me, and at my own speed, was the best thing this course could have offered me. The content is very well set up, and down-to-earth notes such as "yes the doctors do often sound like they have marbles in their mouths" make you feel like you are learning from people who understand the reality of what it is to be a medical transcriptionist. Everything covered in the course is practical, and helpful. There is even a course planner which will calculate how much study you need to do a day to help keep you on track. Honestly wish I had found this course years ago.read more

I am SO excited about undertaking this course. I am only in the early stages of the modules but it is extremely well organised and presented. Every aspect of the computer is looked at, which is very important when you start doing the transcribing work later on. I have studied a few different courses over my time, I have enrolled in some online courses as well. I was truly skeptical about enrolling in another online course because some of the courses that I had previously enrolled with did not come up to my expectations. I found them to be extremely difficult due to the absence of resources and the one off cost basically ran much higher due to myself having to buy resources outside, that cost me a fair amount. I, with some hesitation, had enrolled with Talent Med and I haven't looked back. I am truly happy (over the moon) with the course. The Student Support is impeccable as well as the course overall. At 61 I thought I'd be too old to do this course. I find age is no barrier. The course is comprehensive, instructive, and surprisingly enjoyable to do. I completed the TalentMed Medical Transcription course in April this year, but shortly afterwards I went with my husband to live in the WA outback. Because of the challenging situation there I was not able to start working in medical transcription. I am currently living back in Melbourne and finishing the business units that go with the course. I hope to start employment next year. I enjoyed doing the course and the support was excellent. The course is very comprehensive and it is easy to progress through each module. Yes, towards the end of the course it was quite challenging and required perseverance, but I know this was necessary preparation for the job. Because I am past retirement age it is becoming harder for me to find employment, so I decided that working from home would be ideal for me. Being able to choose my own hours is another plus. I believe there is a great need for medical transcriptionists, so I do not expect that it will be difficult to find work. I would encourage anyone who likes the idea of working from home, has a good grasp of the English language and some computer and typing skills to do this course.read more

I felt great trepidation when I first started this course as to whether it was the right decision - it's such a lot of money if you're not sure it's going to work out. However, I have now been working for Ozescribe since May 2015 after completing my course. Yes, it is a very comprehensive course and not for the fainthearted. It's not for everyone and sometimes it will seem like you're never going to get there but you will!. Just keep at it. The course really does provide you with the best tuition and knowledge you will need in your workplace. The team at TalentMed are terrific too and so supportive. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to follow a career in medical transcription especially now that you can get government funding. Watch out for technical difficulties, but the TalentMed team is efficient and generous when dealing with these.
