The Farm Household Allowance is available to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents who are aged 16 years or over. In addition, you must qualify as meeting all of the following requirements:

The Farm Household Allowance activity supplement provides you with funding of up to $10,000 (lifetime capped) to support your enrolment in eligible accredited training.

The Farm Household Allowance application process:
1. Commence application
Apply online through MyGov (preferred).
If you can’t claim online, download the Claim for Farm Household Allowance form (SU694).
Call the Farmer Assistance Hotline on 132 316 (8am to 8pm Monday to Friday).
2. Upload your supporting documents
3. Services Australia will assess your application
4. If granted, a Farm Household Case Officer (FHCO) is allocated
5. The FHCO will conduct an activity and financial assessment
6. You will negotiate a Financial Improvement Agreement (updated as needed to reflect your current goals)
7. Access your $10,000 activity supplement to support your education, skills and training development.
