What does a Typing Game involve?

Some of us may not know how fast our typing speed is! What better way to check than with a game? Free typing games help make learning this important skill fun and interactive!

There are many different typing games out there. Some may involve having a timer where you need to type as many words as you can with some guidance from characters. Others may involve collecting points for every correctly typed word, and once you reach a certain amount of points you will advance to the next level.

Not only do these typing games help you improve your typing skills, but they also can be a lot of fun to play!

Recent research has found, the average male can type 44 words per minute, whereas, the average female can type 37 words per minute.

  •  35-40 WPM is how fast an average person can type.
  •  60-75 WMP puts you above average.
  •  90 WPM + you have a very fast typing speed, and may be a touch typist!

How can I improve my typing skills?

However, there is some muscle memory involved with finger placement when using the keyboard, especially if touch typing is your goal. Therefore, allocating 15-20 minutes of practise per day will help you improve, even if it’s just focusing on keyboard positioning. Ensure that you take it at a slow pace. Focus on improving your accuracy first, as your speed with naturally improve the more you practise!
