Marketing and Advertising Policy
How we represent ourselves and our courses.
Purpose
This policy sets the rules for how TalentMed, and anyone acting on our behalf, represents our organisation and our courses. It aligns with Compliance Requirements Clauses 7 and 8 of the Standards for RTOs 2025, the NRT Logo Conditions of Use (Schedule 2), and Outcome Standard 2.1.
It applies to every marketing and advertising output, including our website, blog, email campaigns, social media, paid advertising, PR, info packs, landing pages, and any collateral produced by referral partners, affiliates, or experts on our behalf.
Our commitments
- Accurate. Every factual claim we make about a course or service is correct at the time of publication and kept current.
- Clear. We distinguish nationally recognised training from other kinds of learning.
- Honest. We do not guarantee what we cannot control.
- Accountable. We review marketing before publication and respond quickly when something is wrong.
What every piece of marketing includes
- Identification. Our RTO identity, TalentMed Pty Ltd, RTO 22151, is shown on the material or linked to our entry on the National Register.
- Training product code and title. The first time a training product is mentioned, we use the full code and title as published on the National Register (for example, “HLT50321 Diploma of Clinical Coding”).
- Accurate service description. Duration, delivery mode, entry requirements, intake options, and key inclusions match our course pages and scope.
- Clear distinction of AQF training. We make it clear when content leads to AQF certification and when it does not.
Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) logo
We use the NRT logo only:
- On promotional material for training products on our scope of registration
- In the form and colour prescribed in Schedule 2 of the Compliance Requirements (two-colour PMS 343 / PMS 192 as standard)
- Without rotation, distortion, re-colouring, or pattern fills
We do not use the NRT logo on:
- Corporate stationery, business cards, or signage
- Branded merchandise (pens, satchels, mugs)
- Learning resources that support but do not promote training
Financial support claims
We only describe financial support that is actually available, and we describe it accurately.
- VET Student Loans apply only to HLT57715 Diploma of Practice Management. We do not imply VSL is available for any other TalentMed course.
- Payment plans and employer-funded study are private arrangements. We do not describe them as government financial support.
- We do not reference Skills Checkpoint, Mid-Career Checkpoint, HECS, or FEE-HELP in connection with our courses, because they do not apply.
- VSL marketing follows the additional rules in the Privacy Policy section on marketing restrictions.
What we do not promise
Under Clause 8 of the Compliance Requirements, RTOs must not guarantee:
- That a student will successfully complete a training product
- That a student can complete a product in a way inconsistent with the Standards (for example, skipping assessment or the practical component)
- That a student will obtain a particular employment outcome, where that outcome is outside our control
We avoid language that implies guarantees, including “guaranteed pass”, “guaranteed job”, and “certified practitioner” where no regulated certification exists.
Referring to another person or organisation
Where our marketing references another person or organisation (including employer logos, named partners, testimonials, or quotes), we do so only with their consent and in line with what they have agreed to. Testimonials and named partner materials are retained on file with the corresponding consent.
Third-party and expert delivery disclosure
Where any part of a course or service is delivered by a third party or subject-matter expert, our marketing identifies what is delivered by whom. This includes:
- Lead capture or referral forms operated by a third party
- Training or assessment delivered by a contracted expert or subcontractor
- Named SMEs whose commentary or review is used in our content where that SME is a contractor rather than an employee
Superseded training products
We only reference a superseded training product while it remains on our scope and new enrolments are still permitted (typically within the one-year transition window). Once new enrolments close, we withdraw the product from all live marketing.
Responsibility for third-party marketing
Under Standard 2.1, TalentMed is responsible for marketing produced on our behalf by third parties (agencies, affiliates, referral partners), whether or not we directly created or approved the specific piece. Our agreements with third parties require compliance with this policy, and we monitor outputs.
If you are an agency or affiliate considering producing TalentMed marketing, contact us before publishing.
Internal review before publishing
Marketing materials pass an internal review against the Clause 7 and 8 checklist before they go live. High-impact campaigns (paid media, new channels, co-marketing with a partner) are reviewed against this policy by Compliance before launch.
If you spot something that looks inaccurate
We want to know. If you see a TalentMed advertisement, social post, or web page that appears inaccurate, out of date, or inconsistent with our course pages, let us know.
- Email complaints@talentmed.edu.au
- Phone 1300 737 781
We review the material and correct or withdraw it as needed. Where the piece is by a third party, we contact them to fix it.
Privacy and data
Marketing communications are subject to consent. We only send marketing emails to people who have opted in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
Continuous improvement
Marketing complaints, inaccuracies, and trends are reviewed annually. Findings inform staff training, review checklists, and the way we structure content on our website and info packs.
