Before submitting your request for Special Consideration, please read the following instructions.

If you require additional time to complete your studies, you can purchase an extension online at any time via your learning portal.

However, if you have been affected by an acute illness or other exceptional circumstance beyond your control, you may apply for Special Consideration.

Eligibility:

• An acute illness – e.g hospital admission, serious injury, severe anxiety or depression. This does not include minor illness such as a common cold.
• Loss or bereavement – e.g death of a close family member or family relationship breakdown.
• Hardship or trauma – e.g victim of crime, sudden loss of income or employment, severe disruption to domestic arrangements.

Applications must be submitted with supporting evidence and your course must be current at the time of your request. Please note, your application will be carefully assessed and you will receive an outcome within 10 business days.
